However alcohol was in her system at the time of her death but it is still not known whether this played any part in the 27 year old’s death.

The British singer had battled with drug and alcohol addiction for years, but had been trying to get her life back on track. It has been reported that she stopped taking illegal drugs about three years ago, and she was working on her alcohol addiction at the time of her death. Her father said at her funeral that during her last three weeks, she was the happiest she had been for a long time.

The inquest for Winehouse is ongoing, with the outcome not expected until October.
