Coremetrics Social and Unica Pivotal Veracity Email Optimization Suite were launched by IBM on Thursday. The aim is to provide marketers using these two new cloud-based solutions with real-time data from the social media channels.

The chief strategy officer for IBM Coremetrics, John Squire, notes that this will enable marketers to measure their social media marketing campaigns, and thus make them more targeted and effective for the consumer.

The Unica Pivotal Veracity Email Optimization Suite provides the means to track all links shared across the social network platforms for a particular marketer and its brand. Unica is an IBM company, and the vice president of product marketing at Unica, Michelle Eichner believes that her company’s product will influence marketing campaigns because of the data that can be analyze email links that are shared across the various social network platforms.

This announcement comes only a short time after IBM announced its Smarter Commerce initiative, including in this new cloud software so a company can monitor the success of own brand in real time.
