On Thursday Groupon, the website that offers its customers daily deals, announced that it would stop advertising on the web site of “The Apprentice”, the television show run by Donald Trump. The company said that it was because it does not want to associate itself with any political disputes. It also will not advertise on guns or abortion sites, because it does not want to upset any of its valued customers.

At present Donald Trump is considering entering the Presidency race, but as yet it is unknown whether this will actually happen or not.

Groupon is a company which offers substantial discounts at restaurants, hotels and for other services, and does a lot of online advertising, as well as some television ads. In fact this year the company paid out a great deal for ads which aired during the Super Bowl, but the move backfired when the public called the ads tasteless. Groupon apologized and stopped running those ads too. New offers are offered daily, and are only available for that particular day, offers that are proving to be very successful for many companies hoping to bring in more customers.
